breathe

I have a friend who plays a game each weekend on Facebook. She tosses out fill-in-the-blank question/statement, and people who want to respond with their answers.

I always love to read what the people share, and I almost always play along.  Recently, one of the topics really grabbed me, and I thought I would share it, and some of the answers, anonymously, of course. Well, except for mine—I’m going to share mine in the hope that you’ll leave a comment and share yours right back!.

The statement was:

I know my days would go better if I would consistently _____________.

And here are some of the answers:

  • Set priorities and stick with them
  • Eat better
  • Pray
  • Exercise
  • Connect with others
  • Unplug
  • Journal
  • Spent more time just being rather than always doing
  • Take baths
  • Meditate
  • Let go of what I can’t do anything about
  • Stop reacting and respond, instead, with love
  • Laugh
  • Stretch and move
  • Get outside in nature
  • Get over doing tasks I don’t like
  • Be kinder
  • Be present
  • Focus on one thing at a time
  • Nap
  • Create
  • Smile
  • Stop judging (especially myself)

I’m going to stop there, as I don’t want you to feel you shouldn’t share yours because it’s already here!

Before I go, though, here’s mine:

breathe.

When I get focused (which I do a lot) I’ve realized that I don’t breathe a lot. When I do, it’s shallow. And while I don’t feel especially stressed, I’m sure breathing more deeply, more consistently, would be far better for me. And I’m going to see what I can do about that. If any of you have suggestions, I’d love to hear them!

Your turn…leave an answer in comments with your answer. You never know whose life you might impact by sharing it; yours included. ♥
